Privacy Policy for CannaMaps

Effective Date: March 2, 2026

At CannaMaps (accessible from https://cannamaps.com), one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors and listing owners. This Privacy Policy document contains types of information that is collected and recorded by CannaMaps and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

When you interact with CannaMaps, we may collect personal and business information in the following ways:

  • Account Registration & Listings: When you Submit a Listing, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, business address, and business details.

  • User Content: Any descriptions, images, or reviews you post to the directory.

  • Communications: If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you such as your name, email address, and the contents of the message you sent.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our directory.

  • Process your listing submissions and manage your account.

  • Improve, personalize, and expand our website features.

  • Communicate with you regarding listing approvals or customer support.

  • Find and prevent fraud or bot-driven spam.

3. Third-Party Integration Disclosures

We use specific third-party services to enhance the functionality and security of CannaMaps. By using this site, you acknowledge the data practices of these providers:

A. OpenStreetMap (Maps & Geolocation)

We use OpenStreetMap (OSM) to provide map tiles and address geocoding for our listings.

  • When you view a map or enter an address, your IP address and technical data (such as browser type) are transmitted to OSM servers.

  • This data is used solely to provide the map functionality and is processed in accordance with the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.

B. Google reCAPTCHA v3 (Security)

To protect our submission forms from spam and automated abuse, we have implemented reCAPTCHA v3.

  • reCAPTCHA v3 works in the background and analyzes user behavior to determine if a visitor is human.

  • This involves the collection of hardware and software information, such as device and application data, which is sent to Google for analysis.

  • The information collected is used for security purposes and is not used for personalized advertising by Google. Your use of reCAPTCHA v3 is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

4. Log Files and Cookies

CannaMaps follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, and referring/exit pages. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.

5. Age Requirement (21+)

CannaMaps is a cannabis-focused directory. We do not knowingly collect any personal identifiable information from anyone under the age of 21. If you think that a minor has provided this kind of information on our website, we strongly encourage you to contact us immediately, and we will do our best to promptly remove such information from our records.

6. Your Data Protection Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • The right to access: You can request copies of your personal data.

  • The right to rectification: You can request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate.

  • The right to erasure: You can request that we erase your personal data under certain conditions.
